CANAAN TOWN BOARD MEETING
May 03rd, 2010
Supervisor Richard Keaveney opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by a moment of silence.

Councilperson Brenda Adams arrived at 6:10 p.m.

Supervisor Richard Keaveney read the public notice:
1. Municipal Agreement between the Town of Austerlitz and the Town of Canaan has not been received from the Austerlitz attorney. This agreement is for sharing the Code officer services, Glenn Smith.
2. Lebanon Valley Protective Association – Supervisor Richard Keaveney and Councilperson Brenda Adams attended the last meeting held at the Canaan Fire house. Supervisor Keaveney said that LVPA is going to relinquish their ambulance services to another ambulance company. Ambulance companies interested are: Northern Dutchess, Empire (for profit), and Valatie, Greenport, (not for profit). There will be an interview meeting with the companies interested.
3. RESOLUTION #51 – APPOINTMENT OF ROBERT RUGEN, TO SERVE ON THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW TILL SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2014.
MOTION: Councilperson David Patzwahl made a motion, seconded by Supervisor Richard Keaveney, to appoint Mr. Robert Rugen. Training for the appointee is May 4th, 6-9pm at the Greenport Town Hall.

Councilperson Peter Stelling – no;
Councilperson Brenda Adams – no;
Councilperson Carrie Bither – yes;
Councilperson David Patzwahl – yes. Resolution #51 adopted.

ADJOURNMENT: Supervisor Richard Keaveney made a motion, seconded by Councilperson David Patzwahl, to adjourn the meeting at 6:34 p.m. 5-ayes.
