Special Town Board Meeting – July 5th, 2007

A Special Board Meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. at the Canaan Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to appoint a grounds keeper for the Flat Brook Cemetery.

Supervisor Gary Flaherty opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. stating that the proper notification to board members and the media had been done.
Present: Supervisor Gary Flaherty; Councilperson Virginia Nightingale; Councilperson David Patzwahl; and Councilperson Stephen August. Councilperson Carrie Bither was absent. There were no audience persons present.

Supervisor Flaherty read the resolution:
RESOLUTION #49 – APPOINTING MICHAEL SLATTERY GROUNDS KEEPER FOR THE FLAT BROOK CEMETERY
Councilperson Virginia Nightingale made a motion, seconded by Councilperson David Patzwahl, to appoint Michael Slattery grounds keeper for the Flat Brook Cemetery. 4-ayes, Motion Carried. Roll-call showed: Supervisor Gary Flaherty-yes; Councilperson Virginia Nightingale-yes; Councilperson David Patzwahl-yes; and Councilperson Stephen August-yes. Resolution #49 adopted.

Adjournment:
Councilperson Virginia Nightingale made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Councilperson David Patzwahl, at 7:05 p.m.
