Repairs Scheduled Soon:
Peaceful Valley Road culvert replacement starting summer 2010. The road will be closed to through traffic for a few days. Details will be published before the project begins.

Other news:
The Highway Department has a staff that includes the Superintendent, four crew members and a clerk. The Department is responsible for the maintenance and safety of approximately fifty miles of Town roads including related infrastructure repairs and snow removal. The annual operating budget of the Highway Department is approximately $900 thousand or 60% of the Town's annual operating budget. The highway budget covers personnel, materials, and equipment costs plus an annual contribution to a capital fund for large equipment purchases.
